The community gained national attention after its Pflugerville Panthers won 55 consecutive football games from 1958 to 1962. Shortly after, the town was officially incorporated.

Prior to the integration of major roadways, the community of Pflugerville was relatively isolated. As such, many businesses chose to locate within the town itself. Today, approximately three miles of 130 run through the town, including the intersection of 45 and 130. This space has been used by the city to attract major commercial developments to the area.role in helping the city of Austin grow over the last several years.

With its convenient location and reasonable prices, it is easy to see why Pflugerville is a popular choice among first-time homebuyers. As such, the community has played a major role in helping the city of Austin grow over the last several years.
