Circle C Ranch Lifestyle

Residents of the Circle C Ranch enjoy use of a number of community amenities. Among these is the Grey Rock Golf Club, which is a 160-acre professionally planned 18-hole course lined with beautiful oak trees. The community also boasts bike trails, parks, greenbelts, tennis facilities and the Circle C Community Center. The Circle C Community Center features an outdoor Olympic-sized, heated community swimming pool that is open year-round. The center also frequently offers swim, snorkeling and scuba lessons to its residents. Another family-oriented swimming pool complex featuring meeting rooms and office space is also available for residents to enjoy. Additional outdoor activities can also be explored at the nearby Veloway and Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, with the community itself boasting more than 500 acres of dedicated parkland.

In addition to having ample opportunity to spend time outdoors, residents of Circle C Ranch also enjoy access to a variety of local businesses. The nearby Escarpment Village and the Shops at Slaughter Creek both offer a number of restaurants, shops and other conveniences.

Circle C Ranch is served by the Austin Independent School District (ISD), with many of the schools located near the community being rated as Exemplary by the Texas Education Agency. As one of the state’s fastest-growing districts, the Austin ISD is continually increasing its capacity to educate students and prepare them for college. Bowie High School, which has a reputation for its superb teachers and strong emphasis on extracurricular activities, serves the community’s residents. The school is known for its highly-competitive Bowie Bulldog football team as well as its magnificent theater productions.

With development beginning in the 1982, the first home within the Circle C Ranch development was not built until 1986. During its development, the community was involved in a contentions environmental legal battle. Its ultimate development and annexation by the city of Austin has served as a landmark case regarding municipal annexation rights in Texas.

Today, the Circle C Ranch neighborhood is comprised of a number of different developments. These include The Enclave, Fairway, Park Place, Park West, Vintage Place and Wildflower Park. The community is governed by the Circle C Homeowners’ Association, which is a nonprofit corporation governed by a seven-member board. The community is also serviced by the Circle C Neighborhood Association, which provides regular development updates and a newsletter to residents.
