Shopping in Austin

If you love to shop, you will be thrilled to learn about the many malls and other shopping opportunities that are available in the Austin area.  Not only are there many great stores to shop at, there are entire streets and blocks that are filled with great boutiques and shopping opportunities.

The Domain


If you are looking for high-end specialty stores, The Domain is the answer.  Here, you will find stores such as Tiffany and Co, Neiman Marcus, and Louis Vuitton.

The Arboretum

The Arboretum offers a number of specialty stores and restaurants, all of which are centered around a Saks Fifth Avenue.  Gateway Market, which is home to several large chain stores, is also located near the Arboretum.

Barton Creek Square


Barton Creek Square is home to over 180 different specialty retailers.  Some of the anchor stores found in this center include Macy’s, Dillard’s, Nordstrom, J.C. Penney, and Sears.

Central Park


Central Park is home to several popular franchise stores, such as Gap, Francesca’s, Origins, and Blue Elephant.

The Drag


The Drag, which is bordered by the University of Texas, is a popular place for college students to hang out.  This shopping area offers retail stores such as Urban Outfitters and C. Hane as well as several coffee shops and restaurants.

San Marcos Prime Outlet Center


The San Marcos Prime Outlet Center offers over 130 stores for you to enjoy, including Kate Spade, Neiman Marcus Last Call, Calvin Klein, Saks Fifth Avenue’s Off 5th, and Furla.

SoCo (South Congress)

South Congress, which is locally referred to as SoCo, offers a variety of niche shops and boutiques, including those offering trendy clothing items, vintage clothing, and antiques.

Tanger Outlet Center


The Tanger Outlet Cetner boasts over 100 stores, including stores such as Old Navy, Nautica, and the Banana Republic Factory.

This is just a small sampling of the shopping opportunities available in the area.  In fact, there are literally hundreds of stores for you to choose from when you go shopping in Austin.  Whether you live in the city or in one of its surrounding suburbs or towns, you will be thrilled with the shopping opportunities you have available.
