Residents of the Austin area can take comfort in knowing that there are plenty of great healthcare facilities in the area.  With the help of the St. David’s Healthcare Partnership and the SETON Healthcare Network, residents receive both emergency and acute care services with the help of a number of full-service hospitals.  Here are some of the major hospitals in the Austin area:

The Brackenridge ER in Austin, Texas

The Brackenridge ER in Austin, Texas is the only Level II trauma center in Austin.  In addition, it is the only hospital in the city that accepts patients that do not have insurance.

SETON Healthcare Network

The SETON Healthcare Network includes a number of facilities, including the Seton Medical Center, a Children’s Hospital, and the Seton Northwest facility.  These facilities service the Pflugerville, Cedar Park, and Highland Lakes area of Austin.  The Brackenridge ER is also part of system.

St. David’s Healthcare Partnership

The St. David’s Healthcare Partnership includes four acute care hospitals, including North Austin, St. David’s, Round Rock, and South Austin Medical Center.  The Children’s Hospital of Austin is also found within this partnership, as are two specialty hospitals called the Pavilion and the Rehabilitation Hospital.

Austin Heart and the Heart Hospital of Austin

Austin Heart is a cardiology group that provides primary care physicians with consultative services.  The group has more than two dozen offices located throughout the Austin area.  The Heart Hospital of Austin, on the other hand, provides diagnosis and treatment for those suffering from cardiovascular disease.

Austin Recovery

The Austin Recovery facility provides Austin residents with treatment and detox for chemical and alcohol dependency.

Children’s Hospital of Austin and the Cedar Crest Foundation

The Children’s Hospital of Austin is devoted to providing care to children and offers world-class care to families in the Central Texas area.  The hospital specializes in preventing illness and injury as well as treating these conditions.  The Cedar Crest

Foundation, on the other hand, is a private facility that provides services to children that are “at risk” in Texas.

From emergency care to specialty services, the medical facilities in Austin provide residents with the care they need.
