When we decided to move to Austin, TX from The Los Angeles, CA area we knew housing was going to be the biggest hurdle. We made a scouting trip and had a good idea of the area we wanted to be in but decided to rent first just to be sure. That also meant we had a small window of time to secure a home because most rentals will only hold a home vacant for 14 days. Talk about pressure. That’s where Rebecca comes in. She was so helpful, down to the smallest details. She was super responsive despite the 2-hour time distance. She even offered to help beyond the house (like recommendations for a hairdresser cause priorities lol). It was a super stressful couple of weeks but Becca made the whole process so easy, there’s no way we could have done it without her. Rebecca McDowell is a Native Texan, born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She made her first move to the outskirts of Austin when she decided to attend Business School at Texas State University. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Minor in International Business, she packed up and made her final move to the beautiful city of Austin.
Rebecca began her career as an Account Manager for a local IT Staffing firm and was able to work her way up in the company fairly quickly. Her IT job taught her the fundamentals of professionalism and the process of being in the business world. After a year, she left the company, knowing she needed more than a corporate job and knew she always had a passion for Real Estate since she grew up in a family that develops both residential and commercial real estate.
With a tenacity and fearlessness to make her dream of being in the Real Estate industry come true, she immediately got her license and then was off to the races! Rebecca was able to take the business fundamentals from her staffing position and use those skills to create an unparalleled experience for her clients. Rebecca values and prioritizes family, so when she is not working, she is either spending time with her Aunt, Angie McDowell, Uncle, Duke McDowell, and cousins who live in Austin or she is traveling back home to Dallas to see her Mom, Sister, and Stepdad. You can also spot her running on the trails around Town Lake or at Zilker Park with her rescue Black Lab, Cliff!
