F1 Racing Event Likely to Be Good for Austin’s Future

Whether or not the Formula One Grand Prix will be a good thing for the city of Austin is a subject that is still a matter of much debate. One area of discussion is whether or not the presence of the F1 track and event will be helpful to local businesses.

The bottom line is that the F1 event will be bringing some of the most powerful business people in the world into Austin and there is no doubt that it will have a significant impact on the local technology scene. Two major Austin businesses, Advanced Micro Devices Inc. and Freescale Semiconductor Inc. both have deep ties to the event, as does IBM Inc., which also has significant operations within Austin. Two Downtown Luxury Condos nearing completion

The highly anticipated Austonian and Four Seasons Residences Austin condos are finally ready to open their doors to their new residents. After being under construction for the past two years, the high-profile condos are already having a major impact on the Austin skyline and are sure to be the start of a trend that will transform the downtown skyline for years to come.

The 32-story Four Seasons opened its doors to the first residents in June. With 435,000 square feet of luxury space featuring 148 condos, the new building is located right next to the Four Seasons hotel on 98 San Jacinto Boulevard.
